DAY 1

Begin your adventure with an early morning departure from San Diego, heading east into the picturesque Cuyamaca Mountains. Our first stop is the renowned Dudley's Bakery in Santa Ysabel, where you can indulge in freshly baked specialty breads and explore their charming gift shop.
Next, we drive along the stunning Montezuma Grade highway, descending to the valley floor with a photo stop that offers breathtaking views of the expansive Anza Borrego Desert, the Salton Sea, and beyond.
Upon arrival in Borrego Springs, we'll meet a local naturalist who will share the desert's hidden wonders and guide us through the Borrego Springs Visitor Center and Museum.
Check in for a two-night stay at the Borrego Springs Resort & Spa. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers at the resort.
As night falls, join noted astronomer Dennis L. Mammana for a private stargazing session. In this designated Dark Sky Community, you'll be captivated by the waxing crescent moon and the spectacular desert night sky, teeming with bright stars, stellar clusters, planets, star-forming nebulae, Earth-orbiting satellites, distant galaxies, and more
