Settle into our comfortable motor coach as we head out from San Diego early morning and journey towards the shimmering retreat where we check in for a two-night stay: the iconic Golden Nugget Hotel on Las Vegas's historic Freemont Street. Tonight, gather with your fellow adventurers for a warm welcome dinner at a popular Italian restaurant. Afterwards, head over to the Neon Museum, where you'll be immersed in the vibrant history of Las Vegas through its iconic neon signage. The evening culminates with a mesmerizing presentation of "Brilliant!", a captivating showcase bringing the city's rich past to life in a dazzling display of lights and storytelling.

Day Two

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we head out towards our first highlight of the day, a calm-water float tour along the majestic Colorado River. You'll be treated to breathtaking views of the rugged landscape and have the rare opportunity to observe desert wildlife in their natural habitat as we traverse mesmerizing Black Canyon. Knowledgeable guides will share fascinating insights about the geological wonders of the area as you relax on large, safe touring rafts. Enjoy a boxed lunch as we make our way to Willow Beach landing, where you'll have the chance to explore and shop for unique souvenirs. Next, we journey to Boulder City for a guided tour, reveling in the rich culture and heritage and discovering its past and present. Our day concludes with a visit to the Hoover Dam, where we embark on a guided tour. Walking through original construction tunnels and marveling at the sheer power of the generators, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for this remarkable engineering achievement. As the evening approaches, we return to the Golden Nugget for some well-deserved rest and relaxation. With dinner on your own and free time to explore downtown Las Vegas, the possibilities for excitement are endless.

Day Three

Today begins with an included breakfast and leisure time at the hotel before heading mid-morning to our next destination: the Sphere in Las Vegas. Embark on a captivating tour of the massive Sphere, exploring its futuristic design and innovative features. Lose yourself in the Sphere Experience, featuring "Postcard from the Earth"-a sci-fi journey deep into our future. Next, enjoy free time for lunch on your own at the vibrant LINQ Promenade, an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex located on the popular Las Vegas Strip. This afternoon, we depart Las Vegas and journey towards Zion National Park, passing through the stunning Virgin River Gorge, where dramatic walls and cliffs offer breathtaking scenery as they tower over the river. We arrive early evening at the Zion National Park Lodge, our home for the next two nights. Enjoy the company of your fellow travelers during an included dinner surrounded by the natural beauty of Zion National Park.

Day Four

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at the Lodge before setting off on a fascinating excursion to Bryce Canyon National Park. As we leave the lodge, we'll traverse the iconic Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel, a remarkable feat of engineering located within Zion National Park. Carved through the park's towering sandstone cliffs, this tunnel provides a vital link between the east and west sections of the park, allowing vehicles to traverse the otherwise impassable terrain.
In Bryce Canyon, we'll be joined by a knowledgeable local guide as we explore stunning locations such as Inspiration Point, the Amphitheatre, Sunset Point, and Bryce Point, where you'll witness the hoodoos and spires that make Bryce Canyon famous, with colorful rock formations stretching as far as the eye can see.
A buffet lunch is included at Ruby's Inn before we return to Zion National Park Lodge to prepare for an afternoon tram ride along Zion Canyon's scenic drive. Absorb the stunning views of soaring canyon walls and the meandering Virgin River as your narrated tram ride takes you to some of the park's most cherished spots. Upon returning to the Lodge, dinner is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Later in the evening, depart for Zion Ponderosa Resort, where you'll have the extraordinary opportunity to witness the Milky Way with Zion Park Stargazers. Expert guides will lead you in stargazing and constellation identification while you indulge in hot chocolate and tea. Plus, you'll have the chance to view the stars through a powerful telescope, with the bonus of possibly catching a shooting star. After this enchanting experience, return to the lodge for a restful evening.

Day Five

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before checking out and departing for the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum in Mesquite, Nevada, a historic site listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places that serves as a tribute to early settlers. Next, we head to the 1880 Grille for an included lunch before traversing the renowned Valley of Fire State Park. With its 40,000 acres of bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops nestled in gray and tan limestone, the park is a breathtaking sight to behold. Here, you'll find ancient, petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years. The Visitor Center provides exhibits on the geology, ecology, prehistory, and history of the park and nearby region. As the day winds down, we return to the Golden Nugget hotel in Las Vegas for the the final evening. Dinner is on your own, providing the perfect opportunity to explore and dine at your leisure, and perhaps take in one of this lively city's stage shows.

Day Six

A leisurely breakfast is included at the hotel this morning before we depart for Calico Ghost Town, a fascinating historical site offering a glimpse into the past. Located near Barstow in California's Mojave Desert, Calico Ghost Town was a bustling silver mining town in the late 1800s. Despite experiencing a boom followed by a bust, it eventually became a ghost town. Today, it has been restored and preserved as a popular detour for travelers. Explore authentic buildings, artifacts, and exhibits depicting life in the Old West during the mining era.
Enjoy lunch on your own before the final leg of our adventure takes us back to San Diego. Arrive home this evening with new acquaintances and cherished memories of discovery, inspiring new adventures and enriching your life for years to come.

To enjoy the full experience of this tour, participants shoulde be relatively mobile. Considerable walking is involved at most locations visited on this tour, including walking tours of Hoover Dam and the Sphere, as well as areas where uneven, unpaved, rutted surfaces, soft sand, and inclines may exist. Each day involves stepping on and off the coach several times as we visit a multiple locations most days.

The Colorado River float trip is a calm-water raft experience. Participant should be able to step into and out of a large touring raft.

This tour encounters elevations of over 9,000 feet at Bryce Canyon and may be challenging for those prone to respiratory issues or high altitude environments. We recommend consulting with your physician if physical limitations are of concern before placing your booking.

Deposit and Final Payment

A deposit of $150 per person is required to secure your booking, with the final balance due 45 days prior to departure.

45-Day Cancellation Deadline

If you purchased the optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) before the cancellation deadline, your tour is fully refundable at any time (see below). If you did not purchase the CPP you may cancel your booking forty-five (45) or more days prior to the tour’s departure date to receive a refund less a $100 per person cancellation fee. Alternatively, when you cancel your booking forty-five (45) or more days prior to the departure date, we can waive the cancellation fee and transfer the full amount to another tour or a non-refundable voucher, which can be applied to any future excursion booked within one year of the original tour date. Cancellations within 45 days of departure are nonrefundable and nontransferable for any reason if you did not purchase the optional CPP.
Passenger name changes, deviations, or other changes made by the passenger after the final payment deadline has passed will be assessed a $50 per person change fee plus any fees incurred by the service providers. No refunds, transfers or credits can be issued for any reason on bookings canceled after the cancellation deadline. Travel insurance is available through Travelex during the booking process.

Optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) - Cancel for any reason and receive a full refund

DayTripper Tours offers an optional Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) for this tour. The CPP allows you to cancel your reservation for any reason at least two or more hours prior to your scheduled departure time for a full refund (less the cost of the CPP). The CPP may be purchased prior to the tour’s stated cancellation deadline. To cancel your reservation please call (619) 334-3394 during business hours to notify a reservations agent, or leave a time-stamped voice message after hours at least two hours prior to your scheduled departure time, and your refund will be processed. The CPP cost for multi-day motor coach tours is $5 for each $50 increment of the full, non-discounted tour fare plus any add-on options. CPP does not cover the single supplement of the remaining traveler when a traveling companion cancels from a double occupancy reservation. The CPP is not insurance, but rather an agreed-upon cancellation fee paid in advance for the right to cancel a reservation according to the terms stated in this clause. Protect yourself even further with Travel Insurance (see below). CPP is not offered on tours that include air, rail, or cruise line transportation.
