Begin your day with a docent-guided tour of the Edward-Dean Museum in Cherry Valley, featuring late 16th to early 19th century European & Asian decorative arts and a homelike atmosphere intended to share a firsthand experience of the time period’s ambiance. Then it’s onward to enjoy an included boxed lunch at Riley’s at Los Rios Rancho, a family-owned operation known for their apple orchards, cafe and country store. After lunch, visit the Southern California Montane Botanic Garden, which encompasses 220 acres of wild lands that include oak woodland, conifer forest, chaparral, grasslands, springs, ponds and two year-round streams with riparian habitat corridors. Meander through a cluster of towering redwoods, discover the sprawling wildflower field at the Artist’s Palette, traverse over wetlands on a boardwalk or relax in the gardens at Hummingbird Hill.
